Moments ago, it was officially reported that Troy Gentry of the popular country music group, Montgomery Gentry Has died in a horrific helicopter crash in New Jersey. The actual crash happened just a few hours ago at 1 PM ET. He was 50 years old and is survived by his wife and two kids.
Montgomery Gentry is a country group that has been in the hearts of country fans since the 90’s. Their biggest hit was in 2005 when they recorded “Something to Be Proud Of”. That song hit the top of the country music charts and the group followed with hits such as “If You Ever Stop Loving Me”.
The group, Montgomery Gentry was currently on tour and they were scheduled to perform a concert tonight at a resort. Investigators are currently on the scene and will update the media as soon as they have a cause for the crash.

Montgomery is the brother of John Michael Montgomery and teamed up with Troy Gentry back in 1999 to form what we now know the band as, Montgomery Gentry. Country stars and fans alike will be mourning this terrible loss of a legendary country music start, husband, and father. RIP Troy Gentry
